West Texas Reflections is a photography business that provides a variety of photography services to communities in and around west Texas. This logo design is a product of their rebranding, which included a new name and desire to update their visual branding in a way that reflected their new name (no pun intended). Key visual elements include scriptwriting to communicate grace and the incorporation of cross imagery, as the company holds Christian values to be a meaningful facet of their business identity. Having grown up in west Texas, I have had the opportunity to become immersed within and develop a thorough understanding of the local culture. Localizing this imagery for the client’s market was important to ensure the communication of congruent messaging of the business mission and values. The logo was developed in Adobe Illustrator through type manipulation and then later animated in after effects for use across digital media.
